Finally got my umbrella, clamps and light stands delivered - time for some proper practice with my off-camera flash

I like this This is the style I was going for in this weeks photo I had planned. I've not gotten around to taking it yet, so I've used another photo instead, but imagine this photo but with a calligraphy set and drawing table

Tonight's effort, taken with the TP 52 theme of "Style" in mind, would have messed around with the background colours a little more except that my 2nd flash died after a couple of shots

This didn't end up quite as I'd hoped - I stopped the car on the way to walk to try and catch a frosty morning scene, the sun shining through the trees from the right of frame didn't quite produce the streaks I'd hoped...

I've really felt like I'm going through the motions in the last couple of days - maybe the "nifty-fifty only" rule is going to prove too hard to stick to...

Quite pleased with this though, fooling around trying to catch the spray took a few attempts but I got there in the end

Quite pleased with this - I'm keen to try and use my 50mm in lots of outdoor situations this year as the weather improves, framing is going to be a challenge though. This is straight out of the camera, no cropping (just a little level adjustment in Lightroom)

Thanks for the comment - the white paper rose was just a cheap decorative flower sat in our bathroom! There was something in the textures which appealed, especially when lit from the side.

Well done on taking the 365 challenage. I'm also doing the 365 and I'm setting myself different themes per week. Anyway I've been mean to do a shot like this and after seeing your shot I'll think I try that next week .
