Just joined this morning at well it was still dark lol, so i thought it be best polite just to say hi after reading so many threads today, i have already picked up a few pointers in the lighting area of the forum ie low budget lighting and alike, so why did i join ? I have joined this forum after doing a google search, and i am hoping to achieve many things form my learnings and hope to achieve even more from the topics within the forum and feedback from my pictures wether it be negative or possative, i also like the idea of memebers being able to alter your image and post it back up as they would think it should be, I started up taking pictures properly about 16 months ago, and have basicly self tought, i take all my pictures in manual mode and have moved into taking them in Raw only so the camera is not doing any post processing and the image is left for me to alter as i see fit to, if at all, I take pictures of anything and everything, but i do take more of my fish tank and motorsport events mainly silverstone when funding permits,
I have four children and my oldest son of 12 years has taken a huge intrest in photography himself and we go out together when he feels like it or i feel well enough to go out side,

so anyways ive bored the crap out of you for long enough and i hope to read and reply to you in the sub forums

thanks for the welcome martin and your only up the road from me as well,lol i have a few bits in my bag but always room for more and always on the learn and willing to be better than i am
 
thanks for that i might just you never know mind it depends on how the body is on that perticular day, ive never been on one but it might just be something i could enjoy

Hey up as they say. glad to here another fellow yorkshire man join.
from Huddersfield myself so not too far away,and i work just down the road in leeds city centre.
will have to look out for the meet ups too.only took up photography about a year ago but having a great time and enjoy it greatly.

ps i too am a Martin

at a tender age of 38 i have servire phyatic athrytus and it veryies from one day to the next on how much mobility i have, but whilst theres pain killers theres life lmao
 
Sorry to hear that. It seems conditions like yours know no age barriers. Fully appreciate now that if there were any local meet ups you wouldn't actually know till the day if you were gonna make it. Hope to catch you on one regardless
