If I buy a fisheye or indeed any other lens (I have an 18-55mm one on now), do they screw onto the end?

I'm looking at a 55-200mm lens, and of course a fisheye one.
Sorry for all the questions I keep asking lol, I'm soooo clueless.

I just looked at a previous post of yours where you were looking at a ebay 'fisheye' lens to try and understand this question :) Still not sure I do.

18-55mm is the canon kit lens so I assume you have a Canon dslr. With DSLR cameras you remove one lens from the body and fit a different one. The only things you screw on the front of lenses are filters. There are filter lenses available that will make a normal lens focus closer for macro shots.

I can't see the sort of thing you linked to on ebay being suitable for a dslr despite what they say. Maybe OK if you want to print at postage stamp size but the picture quality will be poor. I'd suggest saving for a proper ultra wide angle lens.

Not sure I understand my own question now I've woken up properly. Sorry!
Luckily I have a camera shop locally that will take a deposit on whatever lens I want, and let me pay the rest off over time.
