More Good News

Quite often spot or centre-weighted on late 70's/early80's cameras, but a quick internet search should confirm this for the individual make and model you have. (y)

Yikes, as it is now, that 'quiz' is a huge load of crap.

edit: apologies for my bluntness.

Strangely, it said I'd like fomapan 400, which I've used and hated, or, as an alternative, rollei retro 400s... which happens to be my favourite film lol

I have a feeling it could be more accurate for black and white, but there are still far too many uncontrolled variables for this quiz to really say anything meaningful. I would treat it as a bit of fun, but nothing more.

Bluntness excused. :D As I say, I haven't done it but it could be ok for lols and giggles.

What a load of b*******x

Wasted x amount of mins trying to choose photos based on tones etc and not on subject or composition....oh yeah how easy is that then when those two areas immediately influence the mind when viewing a shot.

and then to have to add a valid email to see my soulmate....ffs soulmate, what are they on!

So now I'll have some extra publicity to delete everyday from my junk mail

As it is they say I need lomo colour film ...;jeeze maybe lomo film in a Leica will catch on............"goes on hunt for 20 year ood, stored in glove compartment of car, colour film on fleabay":D

I give no appologies for my bluntness.....it is a complete load of carp!

Colour choice was Portra 400 which I agree with wholeheartedly, b&w it suggests my fave to be HP5+ which couldn't be further from the truth, it's pretty much at the bottom of my b&w choices.

Ummm, I didn't have to put my email, just closed that pop up bit and the see my match button appeared :S

They recommended lomo colour film for me too, followed by kodak gold...

Crikey!

Has everyone mislaid their "don't take it seriously, it's just a bit of trivial nonsense" filter?

I know... Asha's on a right rant, must have tripped over the cat or summink. :D

I need to put an " avoid Andys links" filter is place:D

Ok so yes it's a bit of fun, .....it's the demand of af an email addy that p####d me off.
I could have just come out and ignored it all which I wish I had done, but having already wasted time doing the quiz, curiosity of the answer was too much.
My own daft fault for going into the link in the first place>

And all this before I tell you about he cats:runaway::runaway::D

In my case, it recommended Kodak TMax 100, which is a film I haven't tried yet (too new on the market :D). I do have a 36 exp 35mm cassette of it bought to carry out a specific test, and based on the published characteristic curve. It could be interesting to try a "real" photo with it.

Now now Stephen, calm yourself my good man.....these thoughts of shooting a real photograph will pass with time and all will return to normal:p, however it is imperative that you rid yourself of all film so as to lessen temptation.......We, in F&C can help to take away that burden !!!:D:D:D

Guys... it's an online quiz. Don't get your knickers in a twist :D

Kodak Ultramax 400 for colour, which I don't recall ever using but am intrigued enough to try. I'm not so keen on the 'also' recommendation for Kodak Gold 400, which I've used and didn't like as much though I suspect I might have been comparing it to Portra 400 and any colour 400 speed film is going to lose that battle.

B&W came up with HP5+ so I'm going to keep re-taking the test until it says Tri-X because it's that wrong.

Cosmo's quiz on how to respond to forum threads about online quizzes said that you'd say that.

For the record, I got Ektar 100. WHICH IS COMPLETELY WRONG etc etc

I wonder if all this will lead to 'film-swapping' parties?!

Aaannywaay....

Did anyone notice that Adox are opening a new factory (first linky thing) ?

T-max 100 4 me

Can't argue with that apart from it being Kodak, 100 speed b/w is definitely me
Colour gave me Ektar 100.........but I might also like Velvia 100......umm, bang on again

soooooooooo predictable..:(

My "perfect match" was Cinestill 50, which I've never tried. It looks as if there was a successful crowdfunding campaign for it in 120 though, so maybe I'll get to try it some day!

Not sure if I've missed it here but Bellamy Hunt has said that JCH Streetpan will be released in 120 before the end of the year too. Maybe I can actually shoot a roll and see the results next time (unlike my roll of 35mm that died in an unfortunate developing cock up..)

I put a few shots up taken on JCH 400 in the show us thread. I like it and will definitely get some if it comes out in 120.

I saw your results Andy, they look really good. I'll definitely be ordering some in 120 when they become available.

Excellent news.
