Seeing as just about everybody on here knows what they are doing, what would you do if you found yourself in this situation:

Moral question, please answer

This is a real tough one!!

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an
honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you
will have to make a decision.

Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous.

Please scroll down slowly and give due consideration to each line.

THE SITUATION:

You are in London There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with
severe flooding.

This is a flood of biblical proportions.

You are a photo-journalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught
in the middle of this epic disaster.

The situation is nearly hopeless.

You're trying to shoot career-making photos.

There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing into the
water.

Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.

THE TEST:

Suddenly, you see a man in the water.

He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris.

You move closer... Somehow, the man looks familiar...

You suddenly realise who it
is.............................................................
..................
.It's Muslim Cleric Abu Hamza (the hook handed *******)

You notice that the raging waters are about to take him under forever.

You have two options:

You can save the life of Abu or you can shoot a dramatic Prize winning
photo, documenting the death of one of the country's most despised, evil and
powerful men!

THE QUESTION:

Here's the question, and please give an honest answer...

Would you select high contrast colour, or would you go with the classic
simplicity of black and white?

where is option 2 ????

to me save the guys life publish a big story about how the uk is good and not drop to there level

if it was him in opposite way he would let you drown , regardless of his past i would never let another human being die

His level would be to throw someone from safety into the raging torrent, not to choose not to risk your life to save another.

On topic:  I'd go with high contrast colour.

I'd shoot some 5 frame bursts and then HDR the crap out of them in photomatix

Black and white. :D:

Do I get a prize for answering the question?

Not saving him would be one thing but seeking to gain from his death rather than attempt to prevent it is rather low.

does it matter if the reason he is drowning is because someones boot's on his head?

Sshhhh! Don't tell anyone but I think it was a joke.

You know how to stop him from drowning?

Take your foot off of his head!!

I think B&W would help supplement the inherent dramatic quality of the scene.

Everyone knows you should shoot in RAW then decide later.......

I guess I'm the odd one out here. Being a bit more of a liberal than some of the other posters, I'd try to save anyone I saw in peril, as I'm very compassionate. Furthermore, I'd have a hard time living with myself if I stood idly by while someone I could have helped die.

Then again, I was also furious at the fact that they killed Bin Laden. Terrorist or not, human beings are human beings and even the worst of them deserve to be treated as such.

Shame the terrorists didn't think that when they rammed two planes into the twin towers :bang:

the funniest thing about this thread -

those who don't see it as a joke, despite Hacker's clue.
