Im really struggling to find templates for montages for CS3. I'm looking for things like 1 big pic, with 2 small pics to the side.

I have tried creating my own, but cant get the 2 small pics to be distributed correctly. I have tried using the distribute command, but cant work it out.

Any help or templates gratefully received.

Photoshop Elements has all those templates. Maybe you can download them and use them on CS3?

Do you mean something like this?
This is pretty easy to make using just the marquee tool.
To use I copy my first pic then I just click the magic wand (with contigious ticked) on one of the squares, then paste into (not just paste) then use the move tool to ajust, click back on the bottom layer and and paste the others in same way after copying them.

Also to help aligning you can drag guidelines off the rulers to get things lined up as you want them.

On Elements they are called a collage if that helps.

simple, open a new document in photoshop, set the size to whatever your print size is and set the background to transparent.

Duplicate the layer, and fill the top one with whatever colour you want around.

Select the rulers, right click on the ruler and select percent.

Simply drag from the ruler to a percentage you want as guide lines, and repeat to create your box. use marquee (m) tool, drag to the ruler lines you have created, press delete.

if you want a box the same size, then just press V to move, and drag the marching ants to another ruler mark you have created opposite. Using % makes it easy to make it all even.

hope that makes sence. :)
