Monopods

Just bought myself a Sigma 170 - 500mm lens and I could do with a monopod for it as its a bit heavy for keeping steady free hand.

Any recommendations on what to get. Also I am on a tight budget just no so nothing to pricey please.

Good sturdy fast monopod. I use my 200-400mm on it and its ok.

Depends on the size of your budget but, if it's small, this has always been good to me.

I also highly recommend this one. Bit pricey but very good, especially if you have a bad back

I got a Giottos one from London Camera Exchange for £40. It's aluminium. Absolutely super bit of kit. I put a Manfrotto quick release clip on the top so I can clip it on & off in no time.

Good choice. I have one as well - I use a Manfrotto 323 head on mine, saves lots of screwing and unscrewing!
