Looking for suggestions as I go fishing in areas where there is always lots of wildlife and thought a monopod would best suit me for bulk and weight while hill walking to lochs.
Thanks in advance :)

I bought one recently and went for a Giottos MML 3270B for just under £40 from Jessops because I had a gift card to use up. It seems pretty basic but it's tall, very sturdy (up to 15KG I think) and light (compared to my tripod).

One thing though, despite what the instructions say, they don't come with the spring loaded 1/4" / 3/8" screw any more. You have to unscrew and invert the screw to swap between the sizes. It's no bother really but I nearly took mine back before I had a fiddle.

Edit: Just checked the website and it's down to £30 at Jessops at the moment. Typical! :bonk::)

Thanks for the replies and the links as they look like just what I would need and light for carrying.:)
