Does anyone remember the old monkey boots, tound toed boot very soft leather and yellow stitching up the side in a letter m. I loved mine , had oxblood ones and would love to get a pair.
incidently, my kids nicknames are, big monkey boy. little monkey boy and monkeyface.
is this a bit wrong?
people look at me funny when i call em that in public.
one calls me fatty, another father figure and emma just sulks at me.
Just bought myself a nice new tin of oxblood polish
I have a pair of oxblood brogues too, must be 20 years old, and am gutted as the cobbler said he cannot repair the soles anymore, used to be my dancing shoes until he told me one year that he couldn't stick another leather sole on and had to make do with rubber. Absolutely terrible for shimmying in
A nice new pair is what I am looking for
Never liked monkey boots as a kid, always thought the were a pretend DM.
Only used to wear DM's or combat boots, saying that, that's generally all I wear now!!!
I love monkey boots and always have a pair on the go. They're the DM's for the skinny footed, only I'm worried I'm stuck in a time warp and wearing what I worn in the 80's. Their only draw back is the wee black marks they leave so don't wear them to play tennis/squash.
