BenQ MA270U 27 Inch 4K UHD Monitor For Macbook

BenQ MA270U 27 Inch 4K UHD Monitor For Macbook

Looking to upgrade the monitor I have at home from the Asus I purchased a while ago.

I'll take the Asus to the office and use it there for the day job.

Or any other monitor recs that aren't £1000s

Hi, I have the Benq SW270C never had a problem with it in over 3 years, only a 2K but the 27" well big enough for editing, use the Benq software to calibrate.
So from me a thumbs up for Benq.
Russ.

Yup me too..........;)

Plus, that it has hardware calibration and the function to create & store 3 off custom calibration profiles.

Nice, I have just over £150 in Amazon vouchers also :)

What's the warranty on these?
According to the data sheet posted on Amazon, the warranty is 2-years…

PS, I’ve also plugged a Firestick into one of the HDMI ports, works a treat.

I am not looking to spend thousands :) and it is close to Apple cash for monitors

It's no where near Apple prices, think its usually for sale for about £1100-1300 depending on the retailer.

An Apple 27" 5k with nano coating and an adjustable stand is £2199

Gloss will make photos look better on your screen.

Matte is better from an editing point of view and you will get less reflections etc
Which would people suggest is better? I currently have a £250 ASUS one, so either will be an improvement I hope

Its is about £1,300 isnt it - the ASUS monitor you discussed? That is more than I want to spend and the studio is about £1,409 (basic one) - I wont even consider the other display they offer

Not like for like though thats the price for the old one. The new one is £1499 for the basic monitor which isn't great of you want it for photo editing as the glossy screen is not good so you will need to upgrade to nano coating which takes it up too £1799 then if you want the adjustable stand it is £2199 for a 27" 5k monitor.

That ProArt 6k 32" is bigger, higher resolution and has an adjustable stand for nearly half the price.

On a budget i would probably go with the 27" ProArt.

The good Benq screens for photo editing will set you back about £1200 for a 27" 4k

If its for editing photos matte is much better, if its for viewing photos glossy is much better.

I am just a hobby guy so can't really justify £1000s and it would be for editing images / video and general word type stuff and browsing.

I think any would be an upgrade to my current one which is the

ASUS ProArt PA278QV IPS Professional Monitor

You mean this 27" asus would be the one you go for

ASUS ProArt Display PA27JCV 5K Professional Monitor – 27 Inch

Yeah for a budget price that monitor has great specs.

Covers 99% DCI-P3, 100% sRGB, and 95% Adobe RGB at 5k is very good value.
