Hi What is the best monitor for editing photos i have just got
Light room 3 can afford £250 Thanks:)

I'm also in the market for a new monitor, and saw this one?); always thought Iiyama were fairly well respected for colour reproduction etc, although not sure how it would compare to the Dell linked above?

HTH

:D

That's a TN panel so in certain respect not in the same league as the Dell above. Check out TFT Central to explanation of how different panel technologies work if the last sentence made no sense!

I recently picked myself up a Dell U2311H for circa £250 and it was on a deal from Dell recently for around £200. Been quite impressed with it although it's my first IPS panel so I have no comparison of how it performs along other similar monitors.

Ah, one stands corrected! :D

Seemed like £160 for 24" was going to be too good to be true!! :nono:

Although I guess £175 for 22" isn't too bad ^^

And like any tech, it doesn't even seem as simple as just IPS, since that TFT central identifies S-IPS, H-IPS, AS-IPS, e_IPS, p-IPS, UH-IPS and H2-IPS, although the majority of those just seem to be manufacturer specific acronyms?

I understand why, but it would be so much simpler for us consumers if the manufacturers could all just agree on a single standard!! :bang:

*sneaks off to do some more research*

Aria Technology in Manchester are doing the iiyama E2472HD 24" Widescreen LED Monitor for only £171. My own iiyama (bought from Aria) is a different model but it's perfect. Have a look at Aria, they are very competitive for all computer bits: http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Monitors/

Ive just got a 24" HP LP2475W. Can give some of the Dells a run for its money and has loads more connectivity than the Dells. Excelent IPS LG panel in it and has a matte screen which is an added bonus. Mine cost just shy of £300 posted, but it was ex demo. Most go for £400-£500 but you might be lucky and pick up another cheaper.
