It's time for me to update my monitor on my PC as it's the standard one that came with it. I would also like to be able to use it with my Macbook pro

I believe Eizo are said to be the best out there but they have prices to match, I have also been told Benq are good.

Looking for something either 24 or 27" Looking at a budget of around £500 ish

I'm off to the Photography show on Saturday so hoping there may be some deals there

What would people recommend?

Thanks

Asus do a 'ProArt' series of displays you might want to look at. They are marketed as having more colour accuracy for photo editing.

Dell have some cracking 24 and 27 inch flavours which get rave reviews.
Cant remember the exact model numbers (someone will come along and elaborate for me) as they have introduced a lot of new stuff since i bought a dell monitor.

Thanks for your replies I'll take a look at that dell monitor looks like its a good candidate

Go and see one in the flesh - they're very impressive and not that expensive if you buy one and keep it for 8 years.

The Benq one is currently top of my list to save up for, I have been trying to figure out what screen to get for editing as mine is currently a very standard HD television type monitor...
I was wondering which cable you would recommend to connect a screen with this resolution though - would a HDMI cable only show the standard 1920 HD resolution?

Assuming your PC/Mac will support it, for the extra ££ I'd go for a 4K monitor. I picked up 2 x Dell P2715Q monitors in the black Friday sale for £425 each (From debenhams online of all places!)

Once you've edited in 4K, there is no going back!!!
