i want a monitor for my Windows PC that's good to use for photoshop, I can't afford an Apple system so looking for a reasonable quality model.

Have a look at the dell ips range. Also factor in for a calibrator.

A budget will help people suggest what to get.

Dell "ultrasharp" range is pretty reliable although not the cheapest for good reason

U2413 great monitor, using in dual setup... another is smaller U2312HM.

Apple screens aren't that great anyway, so narrow escape for you.

I'll also go with the U2413 or U2412M. Great screens for the money. The 2413 being the better of the two with almost full Adobe RGB gamut, and true 8bit panel.
