I have recently hired a Spyder Pro 2 from Calumet for the bargain price of £20.

The good news is the colours on my monitor now look great, the bad news is I have had a blue cast to my monitor for a year and never noticed :)

I have just been looking at how bad the colours are on some of my images.

Its well worth hiring a Syder if you can't afford/justify buying one. :)

You have to keep calibrating every couple of weeks as the colours drift over time. It's definitely worth spending the money to buy rather than rent as you need to keep doing it.

I got a Spyder2 express and although not the best on the market it's made a big difference to my photos at not a huge amount of money.

Oh no, I didn't realise the colours change with time, is that as your monitor wears out?

I suppose I will have to add one to the bottom of my wish list, below the 70-200mm f2.8 .....

:)

Which is best for the cheapest..... pantone huey or spyder?
Money IS an object!! :D

Janice...I've got a Spyder....you're welcome to borrow it, it's not heavy or fragile so should only cost two or three quid in postage.
