I've had 2 old Dell screens for years. And they have been pretty good. I've calibrated them by eye and they come out "close enough" to the lab for me.
But they are start to show their age so I bought a couple of new IPS Dells to replace them.
First off the IPS panels are crazy bright - but that's cool. Second the colourse seem all over the place.
I've unboxed one and have it running next to one of the old Dells. I want it to look "pretty much the same". Then I'll sunset the old one and get the other new one out and match it in.
Looks like it's way too cool but there are also some odd things going on with shadows.
Anybody a recommend a calibrator that's good with IPS panels? Colormunki?
