Not sure if this is the right section, but if not could a mod please move, as above i'm looking to get a monitor calibrator, but not sure which one to look for, so any advice very much appreciated :)

Look at the Pantone Huey, reasonably prices, and the Greateg Macbeth i-One

Thanks for the suggestions, anymore recommendations ? :)

I've got the ColorMunki Photo, which does monitor and printer calibration.

Comes with a free Grafilite at the mo' here:

clicky

Works excellently, once you've managed to disable the monitor's own DDI/CI setup (same with all cal systems)

Depends what your budget is. I'd go for one of the Spyder3 models over a Huey personally but if I had the money I'd go for a colormonki.

Quality wise and if you are looking at monitor only profiling, it is hard to beat Eye-One Display - it is effectively the best colourimeter there is.

If you also planning to profile printers, as others suggested look at ColorMunki or if you can afford it - Eye-One Pro.

There is a third alternative, buy used Eye-One Pro device only (not nearly as expensive as the one with software and cheaper than ColorMunki) and use it with free opensource Argyll CMS software (that is although arguably more difficult to use, but produces profiles that can rival the most expensive profiling software out there).

You could always have a search for the key words such as huey, spyder, calibration. There's tonnes of information which is very useful (I purchased the HueyPro btw).

The Eye-One Display2 is meant to be very good for the money too.

Here's a site that has some good in-depth reviews of most of the models available.
