Weekend before xmas I won an auction on Ebay for a iPhone 6. So ordered a new nano sim from Orange, iPhone came okay so could not wait to get the sim in and try it. When I did I got an error message on the screen telling me "Sim Void" along with an explanation.The iPhone was listed as neither being locked or unlocked so as the other listings state that the phone was either locked or unlocked I assumed that it was unlocked.I contacted the seller and he said that he would unlock it from where he was if I sent him the emei number along with my phone number. I waited in vain with the iPhone switched on for the unlocking to take place but it never happened so I contacted Ebay resolution centre and they took up the case and the next day refunded my money. Cannot fault Ebay on this occasion.
So I now have some money left to spend so do I bid on another iPhone or spend it on something else.
 
Buy something else that's more reliable ;) The iPhone is a lovely device in terms of build quality but that's it! Get yourself something like a HTC One M8 and use the rest of the money you saved on another toy :D
 
iPhones seem to come up for sale on here pretty regularly :)
 
So the original phone has been returned?

No, I sent the iPhone back but as the seller had received the phone and was slow to make the refund was worried of a problem with him I then contacted Ebay resolution centre again, they investigated and then refunded the money via PayPal, within 24 hrs.
