For sunday papers I send direct from the pitchside..

anyone know what the deadline is for monday papers and pull outs...whats the latest you ahve sent and got published monday
 
I would assume that the staff at the paper come in on Sunday and get the sports pages sorted quickly cos it has already happened. They will only be waiting for the Sunday action and expect to deal with pics coming in from those games as they happen. The page layout for sport will be planned quickly and pictures that fit will be chosen off the database of Saturday shots that are already on their system. So I would aim to get the pictures in on Saturday evening so the sports editor sees them straight away on Sunday morning. The editor may even choose on Saturday so that he has a different picture going into the Sunday paper and the Monday paper. Once decided I doubt any other picture will be considered no matter when they come in...so catch the worm!
 
yeagh mark i kinda think that myself.. i ahve been doing sundays pitchside and mondays when i get home (home games 5 minutes) so gone by about 6pm pics look better and easier to do from table top computer :)

I was looking for actual happened.. who has sent soemhting late sat and been included monday or?

Sent stuff in follow up the next morning and had it in on the Monday, deadline would be Sunday morning as they'll be worrying about pics coming in from the Sunday matches from lunchtime onwards
 
hmm so ..I think we would all agree the sooner the better.. but could go anytime sat evening and still make it for the mondays... good to know :)
 
The locals I was in I emailed them before lunch on the Sunday and they were in the locals first thing Monday
