Just about the same shot but with a different shutter speed.

I'm still thinking about replacing two of my four Voigtlanders with that lens which I previously owned and sold. It could replace my 35mm f1.2 and also either my 50mm f1.2 or 50mm f2. I don't think I can part with the 35mm f1.4 as although it's a bit of a marmite lens I do really like it despite its issues.

I think it makes sense :) If you want 50mm just crop a little bit - we've more than enough megawhatsits to play with - and if you want wider, do what I did above and shoot a 3 image vertical panorama :)

The problem with stitching WA shots into panoramas is the almost inevitable perspective distortions (and barrelling) that they (WAs) introduce, even with decent 35mm lenses.

I'll probably end up rebuying the 40mm f1.2 and keeping the 35 and 50 and probably adding the new 28mm. Such is life

I very rarely find that an issue. I stitch shots like this quite regular.

The widest lens I've used for stitches is 35mm and in fact I've done my biggest, as in the most pictures in one stitch, with 35mm and I haven't seen any great issues. The biggest issue I have is the curve you can get with things in the middle of the frame and closer relative to things on the left and right and further away... if I'm explaining it well enough.
