Hi all. I have acquired a Pentax Spotmatic. I was wondering (as always, please forgive my ignorance)....is there a way to use a modern trigger to trigger off camera flash such as a speedlight?? I realise this may be a very daft question but want to know if it is possible without wires tethered to a flash.
Thanks in advance.

Basic wireless triggers have worked fine for me when doing off camera flash with newish non dedicated flashes on older film cameras. They also come come in useful when using old flashes with more recent film and virtually all digital cameras that don't like old high voltages. Some of my old flashes have 200V to 600V trigger voltage, Canon EOS gets fried above 6V !

Which Spotmatic do you have (congratulations - they are great cameras). Only the later ones (Spotmatic II onwards) have a hot shoe.

@freecom2 - Really showing my ignorance - I don't know. I will have to research which model but I suspect it is an earlier one and that it has a cold shoe as there are two connectors on the front of the body which I guess were for a flash cable connector
