Right I have a shoot planned, and I have found the perfect model - trouble is she's 16. I've agreed that she should have full usage rights for the images if she wants, but what will the situation be reagrding model releases? I presume I'd need one if I were to want to sell any of the photos, but what about her?

Legally you don't need a model release in the UK, but I always think it's a good idea to get one sorted anyway. Any shots that you may want to sell later may need a release before they agree to buy, so it makes good sense.

As she is only 16 I would definitely make sure she has a parent/guardian present during the shoot, and don't attempt anything the slightest bit "sexy" or it will all end in tears.

Cool, no there's nothing like that going on, I wouldn't dare in case it came back to haunt me!

What exactly does a release need to say?

You may wish to look at Irelease on the App store....

You can also search online 'Model release form'. etc to tailor one with your info on.

Get a parent not a friend in the same room! :)

you'll need a release to say she can use the images exactly. I'd not use the words full usage as its a bit ambiguous.
