Mobiles: Any experience of Dual-Sim Adapters?

Before I invest some beer vouchers, can anyone who has used one of these gizmos please comment. I'm planning on using one with an iPhone5. The sim tray appears, to me, to be fairly well engineered and I'm a little suspicious of the gizmo ribbon cable fitting into the slot with the tray.

And any comments on usage gratefully received.

I used one back in the day with my Nokia Brick Phone. Worked fine (still can't remember why I actually needed it though) You turned the phone off to cycle to the other sim, they weren't working at the same time.
