Yes
I have a very large number of slides ( 10k or so) which I would like to at least get a reasonable copy of I did have a stand alone slide scanner but it was really naff and decided to give up after only about 100 slides ( It was a second hand gift !) But I'm wondering as a cheap option to at least get some copies a mobile film scanner would work ?

Thanks all

I did use a film (negative) scanner some time ago to get a lot of my old non-digital stuff on the computer. It also had a holder for slides IIRC.

It was fine, but no more than that in this instance.

But it was kind of OK as these were very much snapshots taken with various PAS film cameras over the years.

I'd have offered to post it to you for free, but I loaned it to someone once I was done, and by the time I got it back it was two operating systems out of date (think the newest system it would work with was Windows 7). So it got binned.

It was fairly time consuming, and I didn't have anywhere near as many images to capture.

My only question would be which is most important to you? Speeding up the process, retaining the highest quality or something low-cost.
