Mobile phone emergency alert/siren

I would not want to sit around asking why is everyone leaving town only later to be engulfed by a forest fire or flood that I could have avoided.

I'm trying to think of what emergency in Glasgow could possible warranty an alert?

No forests here, and the balancing lakes take care of excess water.

It seems the most concerns here, going on FB are lost cats, bad parking / driving.

Nukes?
Attack (cyber or criminal) that shuts down essential utilities and/or communication methods?

I doubt we'd worry to much about that, especially if we are in the blast area.
You may just time to kiss your arse good bye.

I doubt that we'd get a warning if they shut down the latter :D

Reactions: Nod
The EMP from a nuke would make electronics a bit difficult too...

Do you live near a forest or on a flood plain?

No but one cannot predict the nature of an emergency (perhaps a meteor or falling satellite). I am on Network 3 so this is why I did not get the Alarm it seems. Maybe next time.

I'm seeing various reports that the Emergency System Alert was further contracted from Fujitsu onto Infosys, which has links to fishy Rishi's wife. Is this true or just conspiracy theories?
