Anyone heard of or used the Amazon supplier Mobile Magic? Following a link on camerapricebuster I found they are selling Nikon D3s' for £3350! I sent them a message asking if they are UK stock to which they replied they are. Not sure if I am convinced or not.

It's certainly quite a bit cheaper than the highstreet price of £3550+

You could always ask for a "proof of life" pic with the camera and box (showing the UK 2 year warranty sticker) and a bit of paper with their seller name...

I wish my local Jacobs/Jessops/London Camera Exchange would just price match Amazon so I could buy in store! :bonk:

Agree with that...

Not camera related, but PC World used to price match to Amazon, sadly not any more ...

I want to support my local camera stores but they are just so much more expensive that I just can't unless they price match. Maybe a couple of hundred pounds doesn't seem much compared to the price of a D3s but it's the price of a flash to go with it.

Hi, bit late I know, but I had to comment on my recent experience with Mobile Magic.

I bought a D7000 from them last year via amazon market place and it had a focusing issue. I contacted Mobile Magic and they suggested sending it back to Nikon, rather than them, for fixing under warranty, which I did. The Nikon service centre I sent it to couldn't find a fault so I contacted Nikon head office who asked me to send it to them. They eventually came back to me and told me they would fix it, but it would cost me as the warranty was void. Apparently Amazon market place is like ebay to Nikon. They viewed my camera as being already owned by Mobile Magic. Eventually they agreed to honour the warranty if I could get the original purchase receipt off Mobile Magic. However Mobile Magic repeatedly ignored my emails requesting the original receipt or requesting they take the camera back. I tried to go through Amazon, but by this time it was to late for Amazon to help.

Thankfully after writing to Nikon customer services they agreed to fix. Thank you Nikon :)

So to summarise I bought the camera in June and didn't get a working one until Jan! I cannot add up all the emails, phone calls, messing with focusing or taking test shots I have done because of this. I hated not having a camera for 6 months and for that reason I will never buy expensive objects from Amazon market place again.

They are cheap and get good ratings on Amazon, but buy at own risk!
