Hi all,

I have been trying to decide which type and size of backdrop would be best suited to me. I intend to start offering mobile portrait sessions which will involve using the backdrop at the customers house. The biggest concern I have at the moment I room, Not all locations are going to have 20ft of space to play with. I will also be wanting to use this at larger events, Is there anything out there that has the ability to accommodate different sized backdrops or should I look at getting two different sized ones?

I am also in the market for a Flash Meter, I'm not too fussed about it being either new or second hand but don't really want to spend any more than about £150. I would also like something that I can interface with my wireless trigger instead of having leads trailing with me, The trigger that I am looking at using is the the Battery Powered Lencarta Trigger (if this makes a different).

Can you please give me some ideas of what would best suited?

Thanks in advance

Mark

you can get background paper in half width rolls for shooting in smaller places. Get the manfrotto telescopic backdrop crossbeam, £55 from calumet, to keep it all nice and flexible for you.

think everyone uses the sekonic one that's about £110 from onestop digital.

When space has been tight I have used 2m width paper background suspended from the curtain track via some cord and some bungee hooks.
Saves having to get the BG tripods out:thumbs:
I wouldnt try it with heavy vinyl though as you dont want to risk the customers curtains crashing to the ground.;)
