mixing flashes

I recently got a speedlite 430exii and want a second one for my macro shots and wondered if I have to have the same type for my second flash only I case I can't get another, also will they work with wireless trigger if they are different types

You can mix and match for sure if you're using manual flash. What triggers are you using?
