Misty woodlands

Taken yesterday in our local woodland in Great Garwood Lancashire. Looked around for a while to fine something other than straight up vertical trees.

Thought it contrasted well with the straight lines of the other trees. Although i should have moved slightly to get the tree creeping in from the left out of shot!

Tried in both mono and colour and preferred the muted tones in this one!

Let me know what you think, and what i could've changed or improved for next time.

Its nicely done and I like the muted colour palette. The subject is well seen and as you say nicely contrasts the surrounding straight trees, I wonder if making the subject tree pop a little more would elevate the image.

Very nice, but I think cropping off the left hand side 1/4 would improve things, that bent branch on the left is totally distracting....and then crop out the right side 1/8th (the dark bit).
