Morning,

Any tips on recovering a misty plastic (viewing) cover on the ThinkTank Hydrophobia v2 .... a fantastic product but very frustrating given it now has, what seems, to be a permanent mist across the viewing window ... If fixable, any further tips on stopping this happening again?

cheers,

Nigel

Presume you've tried the usual rice in a bag/cat litter to dry it out?
It might be worth having a look at motorbike web sites as misting visors are a continual pain in the wotsits.
I use a pinlock which is a plastic inner visor and creates a sort of double glazing which stops my breath misting the visor, they're brilliant. You might be able to fashion your own?

Hi Nigel, if you mean the plastic is discoloured then something like Meguiars PlastRX may do the trick.

This - plastic cleaner brings it right back up again.

Buy a decent bottle - it needs repeating. Apparently it is a side effect of the type of material used which retains it's flexibility over time.... I'd rather have to clean it than have it go inflexible and split.

Thanks folks .. and indeed had a very helpful reply from ThinkTank themselves on both email and twitter ... they also recommend when not in use to store it hanging up rather than in the pouch they supply ....
