Missus wants a new bike now

After a couple of rides out ......and me leaving her behind, she has decided her bike is not up to it (well it is a £99 toys r us special) so we have been looking around for something nearly the same as mine and come up with the GT Aggressor which is nearly the same but has the AceraX bits instead of Deore, what I want to know is a Hydroformed frame the same as a Kinesis frame? I t looks the same quality and when I lifted it there didnt seem any difference in weight but bikes weighing 30g lighter can differentiate a £1000 bike to a £3000 bike nowadays

No the frames are completely diferent on the two bikes, the Kinesis frame should be lighter, but more expensive.

AceraX are not in the same league as deore in very very very muddy conditions, but they do the job and are pretty bombproof (apperently never used them myself.)

Yes your rihgt in that saving 30g can be very very expensive, and for good reason, but that GT Aggressor is only around £300-£400 though, unless that the wrong model i have just looked at.
