With the advances in mirrorless autofocus mirrorless cameras are starting to make advances into sports and wildlife photography... I've even bought in with the new Z9. But there are times where they may not give you the kind of results you expect from a top level DSLR. I know a lot of wildlife photographers who bought the Z6/Z7, and even the A9, who have been disappointed by the results they get in certain situations.

Not long ago I was asked to speak about autofocus for wildlife/action photography... it was a very short bit and I basically simplified it as "what you see is what it gets." But I also decided to make a fairly short 6.5 minute slideshow video that covers some of the differences and peculiarities of the mirrorless PDAF systems (as of late 2021) and how it might affect you. I hope it helps some...

sorry about the poor audio... I tried a new way of making a video presentation (narrated keynote) and it did not turn out as well as I was expecting.
