It usually would be, except there is one complete idiot who registers everything in my email address, and then loses all these accounts.

Check the link and see if it is actually from apple, and if it was you know what to do next
 
I got an email from adobe about my account, I didnt click the link in the email, but went on adobe and its said you need to change your password so I did, its something to do with them being hacked a few weeks ago

Never reply to spam/phishing mails....schoolboy error. You're now on the list of suckers who are stupid enough to respond and will end up getting even more.

Probably spoofed reply to, but still. Clicking any links/loading images will likewise put you on the list.

Delete, mark spam, get rid.

I have had quite a few phishing emails since the news about adobes smash n grab including that one from apple, one from various banks of which I have never held accounts, paypal who keep informing me I have made a payment to other users and one this morning from amazon. Of course not to forget I have won the Lottery raffle twice and on three occasions complete strangers have left me a bequest in their will :) All have been to an email address that is linked to adobe another icloud address I use rarely gets phishing emails.

The fake amazon order emails are hilarious.

I just use the report spam plugin I have with thunderbird and report them all.

Used a throwaway addy and blocked the address/website, so no problems there!
