mipevo6 (Martin)s Oktoberfest thread

Thanks for the comments Leftcurl and Samuel !!

2 new ones for today...

Couldn't decide which one to post...

Leaves

abstract

a quickr pickr post

Like the leaf colours, but am thinking the abstract might work better in a hard contrast mono

Wow that puts it into a whole new context. The colour one looks natural, and the mono looks metallic. I think the mono gives it more depth.

Thanks, really does have a whole different feel......

I don't play with B&W enough.... I like it....

It`s probably because you shoot a lot more nature than me, and have no real cause for mono

A couple of shots from today.....

Just randomness....

Light shop in Camden

Rusty metal on the Roundhouse

Holly

a quickr pickr post

Good trio (again lol)...

That light shop is so photogenic isnt it. And the holy, looks like you got your xmas cards sorted ;)

A definite  for the holly and the lightshop. Very calming.

The rusty thing on the roundhouse is very lively with all the angles :)

The lamp shop looks great.

This is a great set of images but the flowers stand out for me, especially the second one. The colours are so vibrant.

I also love the colour version of the abstract but I have no idea what it is.

I have been experimenting with holly this week but have not managed a shot as good as yours.

:clap::clap::clap:

I tried a B&W of the abstract but the colour makes it pop I think....

To be really honest on the holly... I shot like 2-3 just randomly walking past a bush in Chalk Farm... I nailed this one first shot :-)

Thanks :-)

 what in gods name is that?

Hmm....personally I am not sure about the selective colour tbh, though I can see it working really well in either a high contrast/clarity mono, or a very muted colour processing again with increased contrast and clarity.

I think the selective colour works

Thanks

martin....yep

Thanks

Looks like some sort of medieval torture apparatus......

Thanks, it really does look weird, some kinda ball and chain thingy...

I was just playing...

I posted a low sat and a high contrast mono on my Flickr...

I quite like the low saturation one tbh...

Thanks for the comment

As the 1st was a Saturday, you really need another 2 by the end of Friday :)

Glad I didn't commit to any amount...

Nice squiggly thing. Hairs/threads are slightly distracting though
