Hi,

I have a Minolta Dynax 700si fitted with a Minolta 28-80 kit lens that my brother gave me a few years ago. It's a great camera and I've took some nice shots with it. However last Saturday I took it out to use it with and discovered that the apature was stuck at 3.5. On inspection of the lens and camera it appears that the problem is with the aperture actuator thats built in to the camera and not the lens itself.
I did some internet research and discovered that other cameras in the Dynax range have a fault with the electromagnet that activates the aperture.
Does anyone know if this is a fault with the 700si? I'm curious to know as I want to know if it can be fixed easily or not, or if I should just get a replacement from eBay or the likes.

Many Thanks for any help :)

juno106, I have sent you a PM which may be of help to you. Also if you can afford it I would try and acquire a Minolta 800si. Got a second one last year off ebay for the sum of £40, backing up the original one I had bought new years back. Best of luck with your 700si.
