For some reason my milkman has started delivering bottles from a number of different dairies. I thought it might be a nice idea to record them as the artwork on them is interesting.

I started out as I usually do by rushing in, not sorting the background or framing, shooting hand held. in other words, sloppily...

Then I used a tripod.

The lighting is straightforward window light with small reflector camera left.

Today's effort is getting closer to what I have in mind. The big problem is finding a way to get consistency of framing without leaving everything permanently set up.

All comments appreciated. :)

Nice project Dave,

Milk tastes far better from a bottle, and you can grab hold of it and have a big slurp without the flipping bottle squashing and covering you in milk.

On the lighting front, the reflection from the window frame is impinging on the graphics in a couple of the shots, I don't know if its possible but I would be trying to bring that highlight more to the edge of the glass.

My first job was a milk round, must have been about eight, Hanging on the back of the milk float in thick winter ice, skidding round in me wellies, I would have paid him to do it, was the best funfair ride ever. :)

H&S eh? :)

I was hoping nobody would notice the reflection of the window!

I think I have a way to get round it. :)

You are in the wrong place if you are hoping no one will notice. :ROFLMAO:

Great set, brings back memories :)

It certainly does, I remember waiting eagerly for Blue Tits to turn up at the doorstep pecking holes in the foil top and stealing the cream.

Can't believe that there's not been a shot of Ian Rush :coat:
