Mildly irritated with Flickr !!!

Today I inadvertently deleted my public space by deleting all images in 'Camera Roll' after following some bad advice on the web.

I was fed up with Flickr automatically syphoning off my photos from my iPhone which are mainly crap photos, pictures of notes. reminders and private stuff etc so I decided to delete 'Camera Roll' I have been very dissatisfied with Flickr ever since they introduced this feature.

I'm annoyed with myself, I could upload all the images again which will take time, they are held in a variety of folders on several drives.

So at this point any suggestions on an alternative to Flickr. Seeing I have to start again from scratch I may as well consider other options. Thanks for any help in advance .

I used to use photobucket but it was a pile of poo so switched to flickr ... have been thinking about trying 500px - not sure that helps but at least it may put you off photobucket

Smugmug is probably the best alternative.

Is there a way to stop Flickr uploading my phone pics? I'm on Android and am peed off to with it happening automatically.

Anyone know how to stop it?

None of my iPhone pics get uploaded, but then I've never linked it in so it wouldn't!

Delete the Flickr account off your Phone? Id think there would be something in the Flickr settings to switch it off as well. Don't think I've ever enabled it.

If you are using the android app then do the following -
Open app
Click 3 dots to the top right
Click auto uploader
Flick the switch to the left

Job done....no more auto uploading.
