Might have just bought an OM1

I had a T90 for around a day... It'd been (badly) repaired to sort the sticky shutter EEE problem, and somehow it's not been re-assembled properly with the lens mount wobbling. Sent it back for a full refund, but in the hour or so of playing with it, I sort of decided I wasn't all that bothered - it felt pretty much like a EOS body that was dedicated to the FD lenses. If I wanted to shoot with a EOS type body, I'd got far better glass in the EF range than I have in FD to be honest, and if I decide that I DO want to shoot with the FD lenses then the A1 (and motordrive if I need it) pretty much has it covered anyway.

One day I'll drop on one with a good provenance, proven working and recently repaired when I've a few bob spare, but I'm not exactly actively searching for one...

Great camera...don't forget the matching 300tl flashgun, I've had my combo for about 3 years now and just fire the shutter about every month just in case I get a sticky shutter problem, maybe it could be every 3 or 6 months....but anyway no inconvenience to me doing it my way as it just takes about 5 secs.
 
well i didnt get it, it went for something stupid in the end, but hey onwards and upwards , theres plenty more shiny but inexpensive kit to buy
 
Oh I don't suppose anyone has a motor wonder cover going begging? Looks like the meter battery compartment over but a bit smaller. There's one in eBay but it's £15 and I'm not sure if it's the same (says for om2, guess they are all the same though?
 
Haven't a spare unfortunately. But OM1 and 2 covers are interchangeable, I suspect OM3 and 4s are the same as well.
 
I just put a roll through my OM1 as well. Replacement battery hadn't arrived so I was just taking a punt at the exposure and all seems to be well, but the 50mm F1.4 is fantastic!
 
2 rolls of in date Provia 400 arrived for me this morning too - one for the OM1, one for the zorki :D First time using it.

Test shots look good!

I think I've said it before but I'm really liking that black OM1... I'm thinking of giving mine (chrome and black) a facelift via aki-asahi.

Did you get yourself a motor winder cover?
