Microsoft and Nikon ink cross-licensing agreement

Microsoft and Nikon have announced a patent cross-licensing agreement in which they agree to share unspecified technologies in future products from each company. As part of the deal, Nikon will pay Microsoft an undisclosed amount of money.

I guess there's be critical firmware updates released every two to six weeks for all new Nikon cameras then and you'll probably have to pay royalities to Microsoft for every picture you take because they'll somehow program in some DRM feature into your camera.

I'm just getting into Nikon so I hope it doesn't end up becoming Nikosoft hehe
