Now just been offered a Mecablitz Hammerhead 45 CL-4. at a good price.
It just has a small plug on the end of the lead
What would I need to buy to fit this on the Canon 300d?
Or should I just buy another flash? Is this still a good one or is it old hat?
 
You will probably need the Metz/Canon specific adapter - I would check that it is a recommended fit though as hot-shoe voltage is fairly critical.

I use a Metz 45CT4 as a slave - that has to be well over 20 years old, with my 5DMkII . No it doesn't use the TTi features but as digital is so forgiving it isn't a major issue if your exposure is slightly out using it as a single unit. :thumbs:
