Metz 48 AF ot Olympus FL-40?

I have a Metz 36 AF and IMO its a great less expensive alternative but have recently starting yearning for something with a little more control so after reading reveiws etc.. it seems like the Metz 48 AF is a worthwhile purchase so was just about to purchase one when I happened accross the Olympus FL-40 at similar or slightly cheaper 2nd hand prices..

now I am a tad torn, anyone have any personal experiences with the flashes I am considering??

I'd go for the Metz, only reasons being you already have one and Metz are normally so reliable. Can't really comment on the olympus because I don't know, I've used olympus gear in the past and it's qood quality.
My two pennies worth anyway.

I have the 48af and I love it! Lots of power (for me) and seems to be perfect so often. Yeah, I'm happy!

cheers I was pretty sure on the Metz and then the FL-40 threw a spanner in the works but I think it best to go with the Metz.
