We all shoot in diffrent ways,go with whatever way suit you after all their are our photos.

At the end of the day does it matter,if your happy with the results you get

:)

So will you still be directing your brother to this thread ;)

Do the video walk thing and people would just accuse you of getting the settings before you went in would be yet another waste of time :)

Lol sorry Joe. I'm past caring, too much abuse received.

I have some advice for you that you can take or leave.

You may disagree with people and at times feel like they are putting you down etc. But spend a little bit of time understanding who the person is who is disagreeing. There may come a time in your progression where said person can offer something really helpful to you. If you start spitting the dummy and ****ing people like this off, then it will have an effect further down the road. Next time you ask for assistance with something you might find that Mark doesn't come in and offer that assistance, nor might others of a similar experience and knowledge because they see how you reacted in the past. That's only going to harm you in the long run.

I disagree with people on here all the time, go ask around, but I like to think I still treat those like mark with enough respect that they might assist me with questions when I have them.

Just something to chew over

Mark is a very helpful bloke.

You,Joe, are a git.........;)

What really annoys me Joe is when people assume I don't know what i'm talking about (with anything in life that I do know about) and from that either patronise me, talk down or be rude. I was nice up to a certain point then people were beginning to tick me off somewhat with their attitude.

Please quote where I've needed advice in this particular thread.

I'd also really like to know where I've "spat out the dummy".

People can only go on what you write. Nobody knows what's in your head. Many of your posts are very poorly worded - you have admitted this yourself even. So it can easily come across that you don't know something. No need to get irate about it, if someone tells you something you already know then you can just point out that you already know it but thanks for the advice etc

ok

here:

Guys,

This maybe a silly question but here goes:

I'm sure that metering isn't applied on FULL MANUAL but my brother is under the impression it is...

Am I wrong or what?

As far as I knew, metering will adjust the exposure of the shot based on what you tell it to but on full manual you are over-riding everything...no?

I'd also really like to know where I've "spat out the dummy".

sure, right here:

Stop being a weirdo of course I know the difference - they're all just ways to get the desired exposure.

Considering you didn't read my post when I said in certain situations I'll be in A mode blah blah blah and that you decided I needed to be taught on exposure, forgive my thoughts of you being a rude person that thinks he's above others and likes to be heard.

you even said yourself

That was why I got angry earlier.

You think that's bad...I've wasted 3 days on this rubbish lol

That is you fault, you started this nonsense. If you had been straight with the scenario early you would not look like a fool.

I think we're all done here

:sigh:
