meteor impact caught on police car video camera

I would've crapped myself seeing that in the middle of the night.

Believe it or not, but I've actually seen something like that here in Kent! I was on my way to work one cold spring's morning back in the late 90s and suddenly, to the west this brilliant white object came streaking straight downwards at a right angle to the ground. It was that bright that it left an "afterburn" image in my field of vision for a minute. While it wasn't as bright as the one in the video, it really shook me up. I expected to hear an impact or something like that.

Wow!! Thats awesome! Great spot!

We saw that the other day on BBC, thought it was pretty cool

Geography ain't your forte then?

But surely Canada *is* in America. You couldn't be confusing America with the United States of America by any chance...? :)

[pedant mode back on] Technically there is no such thing as simply "America" - it's either "The Americas", "North America", "South America" or "The United States of America"

Yes I realise that... it would have spoilt my little :) to have been that explicit. I was only having a little leg-pulling fun as per some of the previous posts, hence the :) at the end of the sentence.

Anthony.
