Life is good, Foo Fighters this year and Metallica will be at Download 2012 ... makes me a VERY happy woman :D
 
I have wanted to see them live for way to long now :)
 
Black Sabbath original lineup as well now. :D Going to be my 5th Download. I can't imagine not going now.

although Trujillo is a damn fine bassist, I just don't think he fits metallicas style, and honestly I think St.Anger is the worst thing Metallica have ever released. Death Magnetic was a step back in the right direction though (I just get the feeling they need to rediscover their "mojo")

I'd love to see them live (never have) just for the sheer spectacle and atmosphere though....must be amazing!

No joke, seeing them live at Sheffield Arena in '96 on their "Load" tour was the the highlight of my my live band life!!

I was the lead guitarist in a very decent metal band for over a decade and worked as a roadie for rock/metal bands 8 years (and saw LOTS of concerts) and that gig is still the benchmark.....absolutely perfect!!!

They've lost their way (just listen to "Lulu") in recent times, but live, they're something else!!
 
What is this Lou Reed collaboration all about?!?!?

I saw Metallica 3 times in the 80's and only enjoyed the first, with Cliff on bass.
 
As long as they don't bring out Lou Reed at any point you'll be ok. The current album is musical hell. Sounds like they're auditioning for X factor.

I saw Sabbath with Ozzy at Ozzfest 2005 in San Francisco, and ended up walking out halfway through their set because Ozzy was just so terrible :/ Such a huge disappointment, having been a Sabbath fan since I was a kid.
 
They will be playing the Black album, which is MY FAVORITE :) ... looking at RIP package atm, but may do a day ticket .. will watch to see who else is announced.
