Ok now I will try to make sense but if not just ask.
I have been doing some searches on Exif data as people always refer to it when discussing pictures. After searching talkphotography I found a few options available.
I decided to download Opanda IExif, which seems to do the job nicely as all I have to do is right click and view Exif where I get a long list of data.
All good so far.
Now on reading another thread posted by Marcel on a good image viewer add-on, I also downloaded the program in discussion called piclens.com.
I found this to be a good viewer but had limited pictures available which I guess is down to the few supported website it uses as it seems a new product. It seems to work by the Exif data, which is the area im unclear on.
This is where I might get confusing, from what I can see the Exif can hold massive data about a picture. So can you add to the data available?
When I did a search with piclens.com about me it found just a few images and some I didnt see the relationship to anything I have taken, but if im not mistaken meta tags are also stored in the exif?
So if I could add into the camera for example my name or my website plus some keyword meta tags, when people view any picture or the search engine spiders and bots do there thing then the pictures with all the new data will become very easily accessible via say Google or Google images.
I think it sort of makes sense.
So
Question1: Can I add info into the camera so it shows in the Exif to all my shots?
Question 2: Does that all make sense?
Question 3: If I do the above will it actually work or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Question 4: If the above is possible would this work to possibly copyright the picture as it has all my details?
Answer 1: I have a Canon 5d
Many Thanks for your time and hope you can answer the above as it may benefit you as well as me
