I messed up my wordpress blog recently and just spotted the error.

http://www.thesnappingbishop.co.uk/blog/

If you go to any blog pages after the first you'll see my problem. Edit 5th dec But its now in classic mode while I fix it..I can swap it back?

So if you compare the source code from both good and bad pages its looks the same?? ..so im wondering what it is Ive done

Few weeks ago I was adjusting the header files both for the site and (gulp) for the blog. ....the header in the themes part of the blog was adjusted, I don't look beyond the first page stupidly ...the only stles adjustment as been for the header file, ve not touched the blog style sheet. (it still looks genuine) ...maybe Ive overland the wrong php file or something...

anyone got any clues. :D

Occurred a few weeks ago unfortunately...thanks though.

Where are all the coders that used to be here?

Can u still get the original theme from Wordpress

If so my next course if action would be as follows

Copy the code that. Comes in the template only the header code have a look and compare it to yours if u can't work it out replace the full code for the header and restart the process from there

P.s backup backup backup before you start anything to do with it

When I mean template code I mean Download the code from the original template by going to Wordpress it self search for the theme download it open it don't upload it and copy the code from the header then paste into the header of your site or atleast compare.you might be able to work it out if not send me the link for that template and send me your code in your header and ill try to work it out and resend it back to you pm me for my email address so u can send it to me if required

Hey Adam,

I'm not seeing any issues with the look of the blog. Have you sorted this issue? (Otherwise Alex's advice is a good starting place).

Cheers,
David

Hi Alex, thanks for the advice, your so right, and that's a lovely offer from you, hopefully I wont need to put you through that, but thanks a load. :)

I have searched for that theme but didn't find it, (As you can see right now, it works fine in a classic theme also installed)....However, after contacting my hosters It turns out I did actually do a back up a long while ago through the CP (I do do this stuff occasionally, but cant remember doing this one).. and of course as you say the original design code for that damaged theme is all intact.

So they have thrown that whole back up in a folder for me and Im going to sift through comparing theme code to see what ive done...hopefully I'll spot it.

If the themes headers are the same, and the themes style sheets the same... I'll be stuck as to what Ive done! cant see how i could have knocked some code off from elsewhere....part of me thinks I need to check another header file not in themes, i did fiddle with those as well you see (there's like 3 of them all in) Yesterdays blog header was the same design as the rest of the site if you remember, I kinda feel like this damaged theme is missing that main site 'header.php' call and that's messing the whole second pages when they are called, if only because the first blog 'home' page was fine.. dunno.

I'll take a look tonight maybe. fingers-crossed.
