Message from Adobe

I've seen that Amazon offer and it has confused the hell out of me. Is it the same as my previous CC with LR, LRC and PS but with 1TB instead of 20GB, or is it something else entirely.

Adobe so annoy me, I just want LRC, I really don't want any of the other stuff. Why can't they just offer LRC on it's own, even on subscription?!

As far as I can tell, this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0FFVL6YRT is just Lightroom/Lightroom Classic, and it's what I've moved over too now the old 20gb plan is £14.99 p/m (!).

That previous plan is gone. I you want Lr then you need the new Lr & Lr Classic only plan.

Not gone completely. It is available to existing subscribers to the 20 GB plan but only if it is changed to an annual prepaid plan. You still get LR, LRC and PS. It is the same price as the old plan but you do not get discount and cannot use Amazon deals. I’ll give it a year and then decide if I move to the LR and LRC 1 TB plan. I rarely use PS but I don’t need the cloud storage.

I note the Amazon price for LR/LRC is now £61.99. My current sub doesn't runout until February. Can I buy it now and hold off until then to activate or do you think there is a time limit?

I did not download the code for one of my previous Amazon purchases until several months later. I had to call Amazon to get it set up but it worked.

Adobe may now be trying to restrict delayed activation so probably best to check with Amazon.

Please let us know.

My 20Gb Adobe CC plan has just auto-renewed for just under £120.
I don't have auto renew set up but I have had the message I can renew for £119. Although it seems penny pinching, I'm thinking I may let it lapse and get the Amazon 1tb version for £99.

Is there a down side to my of thinking ?

If Amazon repeat the deal year on year, you are fine even if there are small increases.

If they don’t then you may have to pay the full Adobe price of approx £250.

@Brentor
Thanks for your reply. I'm confused as to why they offer this package at differing prices especially as the 20gb plan is not available anymore.
My pal whom bought the Amazon deal last year at the same time as me is being offered it as a monthly subscription at £15.99 a month.
Prior to him buying the yearly plan he was on a monthly plan I was on annually so maybe that's the difference. Still it doesn't make sense to me. That his would be more expensive.

There appears to be little logic to Adobe pricing. I recently switched from the 20 GB monthly plan to the annual plan for the price I was expecting. Others have been offered a different price, some still paying monthly.

I’m tempted to cancel the deal with Abobe, as there is a cooling off period and go with the Amazon deal. Who knows what will happen this time next year but I expect there will be other deals.

My 20GB plan is 9.66 a month from December
Were you on pre-paid credit before then?

I believe the price changes supposedly come into effect when you next renew (it's always been an annual commitment), so could you have a few months at the old price before you 'renew'?

Yes very strange my friend rang them yesterday and managed to get his renewal price down to £120 like mine, saving himself £60.
So we are both renewing at that price this time. Tbh it's not worth us paying anymore than that as we only occasionally use the camera's these days.

Thanks for replying to my post.

When my current subscription to the 20gb Photography Plan ends Adobe have told me that my next payment to them will be £99.29 per annum.

My last Amazon purchase for CC was £71.99 which probably explains why you were offered a lower renewal price.

It has been showing as £99.29 for years, nothing to do with what I pay Amazon.

I bought 3 years worth of subscriptions from Amazon three years ago.

I am about coming upto the point where my stacking/prepayed is coming to an end, I must admit i am totally confused as to what my options are. There is something on amazon which stages its for "new customers only"?
