Merry Christmas

I'll add mine: and thanks to all of our TP'ers who make the site what it is, and who are so helpful and welcoming to new genuine enthusiasts. Cheers guys.

Merry Christmas - and who's going to start the " What film related Christmas presents I received" :D

You sound like your volunteering there Stephen.

I don't expect any - I already have everything I need (and want) :) .

But I'll let you know if there are any surprises.

Merry xmas all and I bet no one can beat this:- I've still got a film with xmas 2024 to be dev o_O......HUH why?....well the time I finished the film up it was spring and started a new roll so I thought to save on postage would send them together, but the time I finished the 2nd roll ( in late summer) I had bought a 17mm Tokina lens and thought on this 3rd roll would check the lens out and send all three to save on postage...erm but it's now xmas 2025 and I have to finish this roll up.

Given how much postage prices have risen, you might have been better off sending that first roll as soon as it was finished! :D

Have a merry Christmas, Brian.

I sympathize, I often think rolls are too long. but with colour film it would soon add up cost wise. If purely B+W then I would spool mine at ten frames in 35mm.

Finish the roll today, treat yourself, and show us the photo's

I sometimes make a morning out of developing. Take to shop, pay three quid for express development and go and have a nice breakfast while they do it, collect film and rejoice.

Same to you Brian, all the best mate.

Perhaps I am not the right one to give advice really, just remembered I have three colour rolls waiting for development, forgot whats on them. :(

I received three presents, only two of which were photography related: a history of art consisting of brief articles about 800 significant artists, and a book entitled Minimalism in Photography. The third was a spice grinder.

I received a new laptop, quite an upgrade from my eight year old budget laptop I use presently.
Very lucky indeed and a very kind and thoughtful gift for me.
So I am transferring things as we speak, it was time for a clear out, so I am being fussy about it.

Surely a spice grinder is photography related because you could take a photo of it?

I received some Zebra dry glass plates and a Platypus film drying rack for 4x5 sheets

..and happy new year to all.
Hooray....Finished the 3rd roll on a firework display (also got 2024 as well) but they are going to be crap (hand held) as setting the Canon A1 on auto for 17mm lens at f4 (mininum f3.5) the exposure reading was 1 sec to 5 secs
