Merge to Panorama including edits

I have a set of photos that I want to merge to a panorama in LR, I have done a bit of cloning out on some of he photos but when I merge them the cloning is lost. I know I could work on the merged image instead but I was just wondering if there was something I was missing to get the edits to be used in the merge. I tried exporting to DNG but that doesn't work, obviously exporting to JPG and merging does work.

Can't help, Chris, I always merge then edit.

Any reason why you want to clone then merge?

Any reason why you want to clone then merge?

Just that I did the cloning first not realising that it wouldn't be used in the merge and I didn't want to do it again, but it's not that much to do.
