weekly Mercury's 52 of 2016 - Week 8: Topical added

Well done Marcel - like Dangerous with the thin ice sign but Topical is brilliant with that lovely DoF making a striking and colourful image for the theme.
 
Great topical shot with the added bonus that you get to eat your subject

Haaaa and Mmmmmmmm nice close in shot, I think the WB is off slightly, and my ocd wants to get the crease out of the wrapper too :D but love such a nice bright image, good use of the narrow depth of field, I could eat one of them right now !!! - Excellent idea for the theme :thumbs:
 
Hi hmm this was one of my ideas so I'm not talking to you....:LOL: I even brought the Topics well at least I get to eat them!

Really good fun take on the theme nice colours and DOF too

Right I'm off to dispose of my Un-needed props
 
Hi Marcel, that's a good strong image for Danger. My OCD wants the sign to be a touch more vertical but we get what we're given and I'm assuming it wasn't in real life! DOF choice works well here and overall a good shot for a theme which has proven to be difficult for a few...

Topic-al... nice! I like the composition - the angles, the POV, filling the frame etc. all work very well. DOF could perhaps be a tiny bit more so the whole of the closest bar is in focus (or just the second one so you can read the whole text). Lighting is always going to be tricky for a shiny thing like foil packaging - I reckon getting your light source bigger and closer would help reduce those blown highlights a bit. Some slightly distracting shadows in the bottom right corner of the frame. Hopefully you don't mind me sharing my opinion of those sorts of things because I think you have a very accomplished image here which with a small tweak or two could be a really super product shot - even outside of the context of this challenge.

I really like danger - i wouldnt crop it i think the composition works well as it is :)
 
Abandoned - good find right on the theme
Camouflage - fun idea I like it.
Danger - good spot for the theme
Topical - that works for me and you get to eat it.
