Hi, can anyone help. I recently removed the sd memory card from my hitachi digital camera. When I put it back in, a card error message came up on the screen. I have bought a new card and this also triggers the card error message. Any ideas?? thanks

Have you formatted both cards in the camera?
 
yes, formatted the new one the other day in the camera, the guy in the shop told me the card was a direct replacement for the old card but with more memory
 
Must be a camera problem then. Try resetting the camera if you can. You'll need to check the manual to see how.
 
any chance theres some dirt on the contacts of the camera or a bent pin?
